Fortified Academy is excited to announce our Emerge CDL Pre-Apprentice Program has been approved by the Denver Construction Careers Program as part of the pipeline to quality construction jobs in Denver.
The Denver Construction Careers Program (DCCP), approved unanimously by the Denver City Council in May 2023, aims to enhance training and job placement for individuals working on public infrastructure projects valued at $10 million or more. This initiative seeks to build income and wealth for residents today while preparing Denver’s workforce for the future.
Our Emerge CDL Pre-Apprentice Program is the first step in our CDL Continuum of Care, allowing individuals to go from the dream of being in the trucking industry to being employed as a confident, compliant, and safe CDL Driver. Being recognized by DCCP for our Pre-Apprentice Program and having a US DOL Registered Apprentice Program makes our apprentices a valuable asset to employers working on public projects $10M and over.
We are excited to be working with individuals with a justice involved background, giving them valuable skills and experience to earn a prevailing wage and decrease the recidivism rate. Throughout our CDL Continuum of Care, we go beyond teaching knowledge and skills of being a CDL driver by our extensive mentorship program.
Fortified Academy’s Emerge CDL Pre-Apprentice Program being approved by the Denver Construction Careers Program will provide a valuable pathway to quality construction jobs in Denver. This partnership will significantly benefit individuals seeking to build a career in the construction industry.
