Zone 1 — Life Skills “Life Of A Trucker”
Holistic Support for Personal and Professional Growth
Fortified Academy’s Zone 1 Life Skills Program is more than technical training—it’s a pathway to personal growth, emotional stability, and long-term career success. Our gender-responsive, trauma-informed “Life of a Trucker” curriculum combines practical life skills with mental health support, preparing participants mentally, emotionally, and professionally for careers in trucking, transportation, and construction.
Guided by Staff Who Cares
The program is delivered by Certified CDL instructors and Qualified Behavioral Health Assistants (QBHA) and trained peer coaches, all under the oversight of our Clinical Director. Participants receive care-led guidance and mentoring in a safe, structured environment, helping them:
Navigate challenges and identify triggers
Build resilience and healthy coping strategies
Develop confidence and emotional intelligence
Whole-Person Approach
Whether recovering from setbacks or pursuing new goals, our holistic model addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Thriving requires more than skills, it takes support from trained professionals and peer mentors who guide participants toward lasting success.
Building Skills and Confidence
Zone 1 helps participants develop skills, relationships, and self-confidence, creating a strong foundation for independence, wellness, and career readiness. This preparation allows participants to advance into Zone 2, our Pre-Apprenticeship track, where technical and industry-focused training begins.
A Foundation for Lasting Achievement
At Fortified Academy, Zone 1 is about more than skills, it’s about providing a holistic, mental health -supported foundation for personal growth, career readiness, and long-term careers.
