Fortified Academy’s CDL Workforce Credentials curriculum delivers comprehensive, industry-aligned training designed to prepare students for successful entry into the commercial driving workforce. The program integrates FMCSA-compliant ELDT theory with structured, hands-on behind-the-wheel instruction and focused preparation for the Colorado CDL Skills Test. Students develop competency in vehicle inspection, basic control maneuvers, road driving, safety compliance, and regulatory standards essential to Class A operations. This course offers exposure to varied traffic patterns and driving environments that strengthen real-world readiness. Led by experienced instructors with practical industry expertise, the curriculum emphasizes safety, precision, and professional standards—ensuring graduates are fully prepared to test, obtaining their Class A CDL.
Requirements
- 18+ Years of Age
- Valid Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP)
- ELDT Theory Certificate
- Valid DOT Physical
- Able to pass a drug test
- Clean MVR

Zone 1 | Workforce & Learning
“Life of a Trucker Series” equips participants with real-world skills for the transportation workforce. Training emphasizes time management, budgeting, health, communication, and professionalism, supporting safe, stable, and sustainable career pathways.

Zone 2 | Pre-Apprentice Program
Begin participation in the transportation field through ELDT-aligned services that include assessment of readiness and structured skills training. Participants develop industry knowledge and competencies required to meet federal Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) standards and prepare for the CDL permit exam.

Zone 3 | Workforce Credentials
After obtaining a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), participants engage in CDL skills training services that include assessment of driving readiness and structured behind-the-wheel skills training. Services focus on developing the practices, maneuvers, and competencies required to meet Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) standards.

Zone 4 | Registered Apprenticeship
RAP provides structured skills training, mentorship, and supervised work-based learning to support development of CDL carrier competencies and owner-operator readiness. Distinct training tracks focus on workforce participation and independent business operations, strengthening practical skills, industry knowledge, and professional behaviors.
