September has been a powerful reminder of why we do what we do at Fortified Academy. This month, we celebrate not just numbers or achievements , we celebrate resilience, grit, and transformation.
Two of our apprentices earned their Commercial Learner’s Permits (CLP), the first major step toward a rewarding career in the transportation industry.
Two more successfully earned their CDL-A licenses, officially opening doors to stable, high-demand careers with family-sustaining wages.
Each of these incremental successes contributes to our impressive 75% placement rate for our Registered Apprentices.
The Story behind the Commercial Learner’s Permit
Each one of these achievements tells a story, but none more powerful than the story of one apprentice who, despite being unhoused, showed up every single day, studied hard, and passed the CLP exam. With nowhere permanent to lay her head at night, she still refused to give up on her dream. Once she gets her CDL, she gains not only employment, but a place to call home as well.
That determination is the heartbeat of Fortified Academy.
